Titus County, Texas Local Government
The subject of Titus County's local governments is a very broad topic, and one that will take lots of time to cover properly. Our local government is comprised of several interacting agencies, and each of them has several stories that should be told. In addition to the Titus County Commissioner's Court, which is responsible for the government of the entire county, we will research the government of each incorporated city, as well as other agencies like the Titus County Fresh Water Supply District #1, The Titus County Appraisal District, and others.
Many of the records we need in order to properly research the various sub-topics of Titus County's local government are hand-written, and therefore will have to be hand-typed because they cannot be scanned. Because of the time involved, we will delay transcribing these records, like early Titus County Commissioner's Court minutes, until after we post other articles in order to post the most articles in the least amount of time.
We have blocked this topic for web layout purposes, but will be bringing articles online in random order over time depending on our available time and our ability to properly research each sub-topic.
