The U.S. Postal Service in Titus County
Due to lack of local historical records, details of the U.S. Postal Service in Mt. Pleasant and Titus County are somewhat hit-and-miss, but we will relate what we've been able to learn about them.

Shortly after Titus County was founded in 1846, six mail routes left the county by horseback with pack mules following a lead horse.  Titus County then included the land that now comprises Franklin and Morris Counties.
