Titus County Historical Museums and Displays
Mt. Pleasant does not have a historical museum, but has two displays.  The largest display is located in the basement of the Mt. Pleasant Public Library at 213 N. Madison Street.

On September 10, 2007, the Titus County Historical Commission converted the glass showcase that once held the 1897 court house clock bell into a historical exhibit.  It is located inside the Titus County Courthouse near the north entrance.

The Talco Museum Committee operates an attractive museum located in the City Hall building at 400 Broad Street in downtown Talco.  Their museum features artifacts from the oil boom and the Talco School before it was merged with the Bogata school system.  The staff is very helpful and accomodating.
