The Talco Historical Museum

The Talco Museum Committee operates the Talco Historical Museum in the old City Hall, Fire Station, and Jail Building at 400 Broad Street in downtown Talco.   The museum is easy to find, located about a half-block east of U.S. Highway 271 and across the street from the Talco Post Office.

The museum is open regular hours on Friday from 9 a.m. to 12 noon and Saturday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.  The following Museum Committee members will also open the museum at other hours by appointment:

The Talco Historical Museum is interesting to visit and the staff is very knowlegable and pleasant to visit with.  They are very pleased to show and explain their displays and to provide information about the Talco area.  There is no admission fee, but the museum appreciates unsolicited donations to support its operation.

The Talco school exhibit occupies two rooms and includes trophies, band and cheer leader uniforms, letter jackets, and graduating class pictures
from the Talco Trojan football teams before Talco merged with Bogata to form the Rivercrest school system.
The Talco Historical Museum is located in the former City Hall/Fire Department/Jail building
