Other Early Dellwood Park Buildings
Dellwood Park Pavillion and other buildings
Dellwood Park once contained a large public-use building called the Pavillion. The Pavillion measured 45' x 85' and was two stories high. It contained a dispensary, restrooms, and a large meeting room on each floor. Dances were sometimes held in the meeting rooms. It also contained a bowling alley.
The top photo shows the Dellwood Park Pavillion during its construction, the bottom photo after it was completed.
Several of Dellwood Park's mineral springs are also visible in the bottom photo, covered by small open gazebo-looking sheds. Some thought the springs to have healing properties. When the Red Mineral Springs Development Company took over operation of Dellwood Park, they widened the springs from 7' to 12' diameter, lined them with brick and concrete, and covered them with the small sheds.
The larger small building to the left of the Pavillion is a bath house where patrons could soak in steam baths of hot mineral spring water.

This is another photo of the Dellwood Park Pavillion, shown from the end, with the Bath House behind it. This view gives a better look at the Bath House. A spring is located in front of the Pavillion to the right side of this photo.
Dellwood Park Camping Cabins ("Flats")
Dellwood Park's original design included areas where families traveling by wagon could camp under the trees. The park also offered several small cabins, also called "flats", for use by people who didn't want to "rough it." Several of the small cabins are shown in the above photos.
A Ford Model T era automobile is visible at the left side of Photo TR-0023 near one the cabin at the left side of the photo.
