Save Our History is a project of the Titus County History Website, which is owned by Robert and Mary Turner.
Most of the photos you see on our website were loaned to us by people in the community. We always appreciate being able to borrow historic photos and other items so they can be shared with the community.
However, we are also interested in saving the original photos and other historic items from destruction when the owners are no longer interested in them.
Many times when an elderly relative passes away, younger family members don't care about old photos that the relative may have owned. Often, younger family members don't know what the photo shows or who is in it.
In these cases, rather than discarding the photos or other items, please donate them to our website so we can research their contents. Many historic Titus County photos have been lost to the trash as homes are prepared for sale. When the subject of the photos warrant, we would like to share them with others and preserve the originals.
We are also pleased to save old photos and other historic items from destruction anytime their owners have lost interest in them. If you or someone you know is "cleaning house" and are considering discarding photos or any other items that you think we might want, we'll be pleased to help you "clean out the closets."
Please e-mail us at:

We appreciate any help you can provide.

The Titus County History Website
Our interest in preserving historic items is not limited to photos. We are also interested in old telephone books and city directories, miscellaneous documents, obsolete stock certificates, advertising brochures, old newspapers, advertising novelty items, maps, and any other items of historical interest. We are interested in any items related to businesses that were once located in Titus County, and almost any other artifacts that pertain to Titus County.
