The Titus County Time Line
The Titus County Time Line shows many interesting events that illustrate the progress made in Titus County and Mount Pleasant from county's founding in 1846 to the present.  If we found sufficient information and photos to do so, some items are covered in-depth on web pages dedicated specifically to them.  Others listings are just interesting trivia that we ran across while researching major stories that we felt might entertain you.  We also listed businesses and people who were once in Titus County, but for whom we were not able to locate enough information to cover in depth.  Sometimes the article shown is the only article that ever appeared about them.

We hope The Titus County Time Line provides you a broad overview of both the county's progress and helps show topics that we cover on the website.  We also hope you find the trivia interesting and entertaining.  If we were able to write an article about the subject, we listed the menu topic beside they time line entry.  Please refer to the in-depth article for more details.  We did not hyper-link to individual stories because the website is still under construction and we must move blocks of pages farily regularly, which would break the links until the website is eventually arranged into its final form.

Likewise, if you have information on topics listed that we don't, please contact us.  We would like to obtain information, photos, or anything else that we don't currently have about lots of subjects.

Like the rest of our site, this time line is very incomplete.  We will constantly add to it as we read more early newspapers and City Council minutes and obtain other information while researching topics that we will be presenting in detail.

Due to its length, the Titus County Time Line constitutes several web pages.
