Gasoline to Cost 50c Gallon Unless Oil Is Conserved

HOT SPRINGS, Ark., Jan. 24, (INS)- Motorists will be paying 50 cents a gallon for gasoline in eight years unless the nation's oil supply is conserved, Governor Clyde Tingley of New Mexico, here for the conference of Governors of oil producing states, declared today.

Among the other chief executives who are attending the conference which got under way here today are Governor E. W. Marland of Oklahoma, and Governor Carl E. Bailey of Arkansas.
